I do not use terms like &#8220;tech-savy&#8221; and &#8220;not technically competent&#8221; when discussing people because I believe we are all victims of encountering a technology that was never designed with us in mind (intentional or not).</p>
<p>I meet one on one to collect stories about what people do. I find where they struggle (many times they don&#8217;t see it themselves) so I can design a new and better experience. I never want to be a designer who thinks I have all the answers so I make sure to validate all concepts with my audience. I&#8217;m always amazed and delighted when my designs are challenged by the those who will be using it because it reminds me that people matter more than some &#8220;idea&#8221; I thought was cool.</p>
