I am driven, with much empathy for humanity, to make interacting with technology an enjoyable experience for everyone. I do not use terms like “tech-savy” and “not technically competent” when discussing people because I believe we are all victims of encountering a technology that was never designed with us in mind (intentional or not).

I meet one on one to collect stories about what people do. I find where they struggle (many times they don’t see it themselves) so I can design a new and better experience. I never want to be a designer who thinks I have all the answers so I make sure to validate all concepts with my audience. I’m always amazed and delighted when my designs are challenged by the those who will be using it because it reminds me that people matter more than some “idea” I thought was cool.
